What We Do for Consumers
As an IRS authorized Fiscal Employer Agent, we recognize that you, the Consumer-employer, are in charge of your life and the services you need to live it to the fullest. Our services are provided in a neutral way that supports your decision making.
For Consumers who elect to hire their own attendant employees, RLI provides payroll and human resources support services including:
- Processing payroll
- Collaborating with the Service Coordination agency selected by the Consumer
- Setting up and verifying all federal forms to establish the Consumer as an employer (securing an FEIN Number)
- Arranging and managing Workers’ Compensation
- Record keeping
- Training and ongoing support
- Criminal and child abuse record checks
- Attendant benefits administration
- Completing and submitting state and federal taxes
- Managing Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation benefits
What We Do for Attendants:
- Convenient pay methods, including direct deposits and debit cards
- Training to offer incremental pay opportunities
- Structured pay increases based on length of service to the Consumer-employer
- Optional benefits through the PCIL Package
- Participation in open Consumer meetings
- Filing and withholding of all required federal, state and local taxes
Eligibility
The Consumer-employer must have an Individual Support Plan approved by the Office of Long Term Living of the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.
Services are available in counties throughout Pennsylvania. Services may be available at no cost to the Consumer or the attendants.
